In the heart of Esbjerg, you can experience a fantastic evening with gourmet food at restaurant Loftet. Here you get well-composed dishes, which are made from scratch with the best ingredients. In addition, you can pamper your taste buds with exquisite wines that cannot be found anywhere else. At restaurant Loftet, you will be greeted by professionals and food geeks in informal surroundings.

An evening at restaurant Loftet is an experience where you can expect food with respect and love for Danish ingredients and nature. The wines are in a special class and the dishes are composed according to the wine, so that you get a harmonious taste experience.

Fine dining i Esbjerg

Restaurant Loftet Fine Dining is our Nordic Gourmet department, which is located on the 2nd floor, with a view of Esbjergs Tage. We are part of Posthuset Esbjerg, which has several eating places under the same roof – Restaurant, sports bar and Fine Dining at the top.

The large, historic and charismatic building, which was formerly the central post office, was built in 1908 and is a trademark in the heart of Esbjerg. Over the last few years, Restaurant Loftet Fine Dining has delivered high quality, as well as exciting food and wine. We are Nordic inspired, with an eye for good, local ingredients. We love to be picky about the food and wine and the interaction between these will hopefully give you the gourmet experience you were hoping for.
Our Nordic gourmet menu follows the seasons, so you get the best experience all year round. We go on inspiration trips to the local suppliers several times a year, so that we get an insight into the entire process, from when they start by preparing the raw materials until they are delivered to us and right up to the time that you can enjoy it in our beautiful restaurant.

Restaurant Loftet Fine Dining is not just a place for gourmet experiences, we also have a number of exciting events. Approx. once a month we hold bubbles and seafood, where our fantastic chefs make sure there is something for every taste. We are happy to serve lobsters, oysters, snow crab or other good ingredients. The bubbles are always carefully selected, ice-cold and well-balanced in taste. We also hold wine and gin tastings, once a month each. You can enjoy 3 Nordic dishes from our menu, as well as 5 different wines or gin. For the gin tasting, you must taste the gin neat, and then mix it yourself with a suitable tonic, as well as a garnish at the end. A cosy, informal and informative evening in beautiful surroundings at Restaurant Loftet. I take our wine tastings through 5 different glasses, which have been selected for the menu you will be served. You learn about tasting methods, districts, production and much more.
